"We are stardust. We are golden.
And we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden."

-Woodstock by Joni Mitchell

The mind is key. What you think, you become.

Care for the human soul

Faith-Love

To receive the results you seek, our first priority is to establish a trusting relationship in which you feel safe, unconditionally accepted, and supported.

To better enable our communication, I practice what is referred to as active listening, which does not judge, but seeks to understand.

All the concerns and the events in your life, which you choose to share with me, are received with compassion and respect.

It is highly likely in the course of my career I have dealt with issues similar to yours.  I am confident and optimistic in my ability to support your healing whatever your challenges might be.

The giftedness of every human being

Resilience and creativity are innate God given qualities.

It is your birthright to live a life of purpose filled with joy. And while it I It may not always feel that way or seem possible, but you do possess the ability to heal.

Our work is designed to help you overcome artificial or unconsciously imposed boundaries based on limiting beliefs adopted in childhood.

Until these ‘triggers’ are dismantled they will interfere with your true purpose in life.

In counseling you’ll receive the knowledge and know-how to overcome the obstacles that have resulted in making choices that failed to support your personal and professional goals.

Pluralism

A diversity of perspectives vs. a single approach

As a pastoral counselor with an open pluralistic perspective, in addition to the myriad therapeutic modalities I utilize, I can assist those seeking the spiritual connection of their emotional selves to the mind-body-spirit healing process.

My approach to the care of human souls brings a vital spiritual dimension to every session.  I’ve created a nurturing practice and office where individuals and families are free to explore options and strategies that are respectful of their faith perspective, beliefs, and core values.

A secular pathway

As your counselor, I’ll enter into your experience from a faith-based, psychologically trained vantage point to provide an integrated solution to ensure lasting results.

Anxiety is fear of the future

Depression is fear of the past

My office is a safe nurturing space where you are invited to explore your anxiety, depression, PTSD, family conflicts or self-esteem issues, just to name a few.

My goal is to lessen your suffering and boost your self-reliance in order to restore a sense of wholeness and well-being.

There are many ways to treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, as well as a number of other emotional maladies. In addition to discussion and reflection, from time to time we may employ guided imagery, meditation, or any number of other techniques to relieve stressors.

These tools will alleviate symptoms getting in the way of daily living, making it difficult to engage in the healing process.  My methods are easy to learn and practice yourself!   In our sessions you will discover ground-breaking techniques to transform your past in ways that create positive changes for your present.
